    Wow, Scot, it was so amazing to click on your blog and see the haiku and photo of the red tanager. We’ve had a red tanager visitor to our place this summer and last, and it is so elusive. Such a beautiful song.

    first time for me–strange to see something that bright in color in our woods and at dawn to pecked at our window–didn’t fly into it like some birds, but flew up to it and peck peck peck–
