day 1

1972
teen age sex
under a cheesy moon
eight track plays
croce low
time in a bottle
sets the mood
top down gives
us more room
you borrowed
yr sister’s
28 days of kama sutra
we had 20 minutes
before the porch light
came on
i prayed for 27 more
days just like
this one

Oh, time in a bottle is one of my faves,
and this poem made me laugh a little,
as I remember a similar time once!

The title of this works very well. Good ending too.

  8. Memories come flooding back. I can feel a certain tension in this poem. Nicely written.

Come and join my weekly poetry prompt on my website if interested.

  9. Kim says:

Puts me in mind of Meatloaf’s Paradise by the dashboard light! Ah teenage angst and hormones…
